Cherish Me. Hand Me Down.

I'm YY — a Malaysian parent with a son and a daughter, and the reason Limau exists.

Meet YY - the mom behind Limau Malaysia

I handed down my son's clothes to my daughter, and people kept asking, "is this a boy?" Too many trucks, too many dinosaurs, too much blue. Then my daughter outgrew her pinks, and nearly everyone around me was having boys — nothing to pass hers to either.

That's when it hit me: I didn't want a closet full of clothes that could only ever belong to one kind of kid.

So Limau became my answer: baby basics, 0-24 months, in colours built to move from one child to the next. No matching a gender. No guessing what the next baby will be. Just 100% cotton, made to be worn hard and washed often — and handed to whoever's next.

I tested the fit the way I'd want a brand to test it for my own kid — because it was my own kid. Every design went through my baby first: worn, washed, dried, checked again, before it ever reached a customer.

I handpicked every colour myself. I didn't want muted — I wanted colours vibrant enough that nobody has to ask what they "belong" to.

#SupportLocal : Made in Malaysia, Start to Finish

Limau is knitted in Johor and cut and sewn in the Klang Valley, by manufacturers I work with directly.

Each colourway is knit to order in 100kg batches from the mill — a commitment I make before I know if it'll sell. It's a bigger risk than buying off-the-shelf fabric. But it's how I keep the quality, and the story, honest.

  • Fabric, Decided in Order

100% cotton wasn't negotiable — that came first. From there, I chose 170gsm specifically: heavy enough to hold its shape wash after wash, light enough to actually be comfortable in Malaysian heat.

  • Minimal Plastic

The only plastic you'll get from an order is the courier bag it arrives in. Nothing else.
